My terrible online shopping experience with Shreve & Co. turned my wife's birthday into a huge disappointment, and I feel compelled to share it as a warning. I was looking for the perfect birthday gift for my wife and knew she’d love a diamond heart necklace. I went to the Shreve website and quickly found what I was looking for — the 'Hearts on Fire' necklace. I even called the store to confirm. But despite all that, what I received was a complete mismatch, proving that even with direct interaction, things can go horribly wrong online. This is why I felt it necessary to leave a review and engage with customer service.
Customer: I ordered a "Hearts on Fire" necklace for my wife's birthday, and you sent me the completely wrong item. Her birthday is today, and it's ruined! CS Rep: Oh no, I am so truly sorry to hear about this mix-up and that your wife's special day has been affected. Can you please provide your order number so I can look into this immediately for you? Customer: It's order #SHR7890. I was expecting the diamond heart necklace, the one I saw on your website and even called about. This is clearly not it, and it wasn't beautifully wrapped either. CS Rep: Thank you for that, Mr. Johnson. I see your order now. It appears there was an error in our fulfillment center. Please accept our deepest apologies. We can arrange for a pick-up of the incorrect item and expedite the correct "Hearts on Fire" necklace to you, free of charge, with an additional gift for the inconvenience. Customer: So, another day without a gift then? What about today? This was supposed to be a special, next-day delivery, making her birthday very special. Now it’s just a huge letdown.
